Almost daily I (Meg) am reminded of the critical need for connection. The idea of "to know and to be known" tumbles through my heart and mind often. I want, I need, to be known, desperately. My hope for connections to others points me outward though too. If I'm feeling dried up and empty, hoping to be seen and to be heard, I most certainly know that others in my circles of life - my people, my tribe, my loved ones - are too. While life's battles tempt us inward toward isolation, recovery is unearthed when we get brave enough to invite others into our journey. (*cue high school musical theme song...)
I'm grateful for impromptu girls' days and spontaneous, surprise trips. Nothing fancy or glitzy, but being together - over lunch, browsing through book shelves, grabbing coffee - is a breath of fresh air.
Here's to sisters and to time together :)
